This course comprises classroom and outdoor activities and requires an overnight winter tent camp out on Saturday night. Many wilderness skills are taught including Wilderness Survival (food, shelter and clothing), Navigation by Map and Compass and GPS, Off-Area Search and Rescue and Low Angle Rope Rescue.
This is a Senior Elective Course. A third-party manual is required and assigned sections should be read prior to the course.
