The Alpine Valley Resort Ski Patrol was formed in 1964 at the time construction began on the buildings of the resort. We have been named Outstanding Patrol at the National, Division, and Region Levels. The patrol is led by Patrol Director Peter McKernan. The Ausblick Ski Patrol is a volunteer organization providing medical and safety services for the Ausblick Ski Club. Ausblick Ski Patrollers are members of the Ausblick Ski Club and the National Ski Patrol (NSP). The patrol is led by Patrol Director Mo Minor. Started in 1947, the purpose of the club was and still is to foster and develop skiing and a lifelong love of outdoor activities in the Madison area. It began as a ski jumping only club. This is still a big part of the equation. Today, members have a club that offers skiing in all forms including jumping, alpine, and nordic. Also available are mountain biking and biathlon. The club sponsors several competitive teams in the various skiing disciplines. The Blackhawk Ski Patrol is led by Patrol Director Rob Kudrle. Blue Mound State Park offers over 20 miles of cross country ski trails, and with access to the Military Ridge State Trail make Blue Mound a popular destination year-round. There is also a Blue Mound Ski Club which can be accessed at https://www.facebook.com/BlueMoundNordicSkiClub. The Blue Mound Nordic Patrol is led by Dave Zoromski. Cascade Mountain Ski Patrol was founded in 1962 as a non profit organization affiliated with the National Ski Patrol. We consist of 126 members who come from a broad array of backgrounds, and experiences, but who all share a strong desire to ski and or snow board, and to help people. The patrol is led by Dick Wollowski (Patrol Representative) and Gretchen Girard (Patrol Director). Devil’s Head Resort was constructed in 1970 in Merrimac, WI, and the Devil’s Head Ski Patrol was started that same year. Devil’s Head has over 300 Acres of Terrain with 30 downhill trails and over 3 1/2 miles of Cross Country Skiing. Through the years extensive improvements have been made: six additional chairlifts, numerous runs, 138 hotel rooms, suites and condos. Fox Hill is owned and operated by the members of the Milwaukee Ski Club. We offer beginner, intermediate, and some of the most challenging expert runs in Southeastern Wisconsin. We have 226′ of vertical served by 4 rope tows. Fox Hill has excellent glade skiing and a beautiful friendly lodge. The patrol is led by Patrol Director Steve Sundquist. Mt. La Crosse was founded in 1959. From gentle Mileaway, Wisconsin’s longest run, to Damnation, Mid-America’s steepest trail, Mt. La Crosse offers the widest variety of skiing and snowboarding terrain in the Midwest. Mt. La Crosse’s eighteen slopes and trails are serviced by three double chairlifts and one rope tow.
